to Frequently Asked Questions
Overview
Wireless Banking
Wireless Banking is the ability to use a wireless device (web-enabled
cellular phone or personal digital assistant) to access your financial
information. "Wireless" means that you do not have to
be physically connected to the web, either through a network connection
or "wired" modem connection.
Account Access
You will be able to view your account history, check your account
balances, pay your bills (for members already enrolled in the Bill
Payer service), change your Home Banking password, and transfer
money within your accounts or to another CUofTX account that you
are linked to.
Bill Payer Account
You have access to your Bill Payer account. Log on to wireless banking
with your Home Banking account number and password and choose the
Bill Payment option. Use your Bill Payer userID and password to
access your account.

Wireless Banking Cost
CUofTX does not charge any fees for banking wirelessly. However,
if you don't have a web-enabled wireless device, there may be a
cost to purchase or rent the device. Additionally, there may be
a monthly service fee charged by the carrier for wireless Internet
access. To access the Bill Payment feature, you will need to enroll
in the CUofTX Bill Payer service for a monthly fee.
Security
and Privacy
Your Privacy and Security
All transactions utilize the latest in both Internet and wireless
security and are as safe as those performed by existing home banking
users from their personal computers across the wired web. End-to-end
encryption assures that all transactions remain private and protected.
Hacker Protection
SensCom uses a secure facility to ensure full data security. SensCom
also utilizes the latest available encryption technology. The password
authentication is provided by the host banking website.

Application Level Security
SensCom manages security from the handset to the financial institution,
at which point we interact with their security under an SSL connection.
Login authentication with userID & password is managed by the
financial institution. SensCom acts as (the gateway) middleware
between the user's microbrowser and the financial institution's
system.
Use
and Convenience
Computer Requirements
A computer connected to the internet is not required to use Wireless
Banking. All you need is a wireless phone with a minibrowser and
a subscription to wireless Internet service from your wireless service
provider.
Browser Software
Your web-enabled wireless phone comes equipped with a preloaded
minibrowser. No other software will be necessary.

Account Access
Viewing of deposit accounts and loan balances, transfer of funds
and account history is accessible using Wireless Banking. Account
history includes deposits, withdrawals, checks cleared, transfers,
loan payments, etc.
Bill Payer Features
Currently, you will be able to view, modify, delete or make a payment
to existing payees. If you need to add a payee, you can do so by
accessing CUofTX Bill Payer through your computer.
Bookmarking a Web Site
Go to the phone's web browser and enter in the web site address.
Save this site by referring to your phone's manual on bookmarking.
This only has to be done once.
Transfer Times
All transactions are in real-time and will take effect immediately.
Transfers that take place on a weekend are also real time, but will
reflect the following business date.

Losing a Phone Connection
If you did not receive a reference number, your transfer did not
take place. You will need to initiate the transfer again once you
have re-established a phone connection.
Losing a Wireless Connection
If a wireless Internet connection is lost before a transaction is
"committed," the user must reconnect and start the transaction
over again. When the wireless Internet connection is lost, the session
between the SensCom server and the institution's application server
"times out," just like it would during a normal web transaction.
Ending a Web Connection
You need to first select "Logoff" when you've finished
with your Internet banking transactions. At this point, your Internet
banking session is closed. You may then turn the phone off or perform
other phone functions. In order to perform any other transactions,
you would have to enter your member number and password again.

Zero Balance Accounts
You can transfer money into an account with a zero balance as long
as the account has not been closed.
Troubleshooting
Resolving a Problem
For problems using our Internet banking service, contact our Teller
Services Center at 972-263-9497. You may call your wireless service
provider for problems associated with your wireless phone or wireless
service.
Password Issues
Be sure you are entering your password correctly. The "default"
setting for password entry is alphabetic; if your password includes
letters and numbers, you need to "cycle" through the alpha
settings on your keypad before hitting the number on the key; if
your password includes numbers only, you can "toggle"
your phone settings to numeric entry; please refer to your wireless
phone manufacturer's user guide.

Minibrowsers
When you are done with your account transactions, you should log
off and go back to the main menu, in order to close the Internet
session and clear your phone's cache memory. This will enable you
to start up fresh the next time you use your browser.
Wireless Phone Internet Connections
There are several things that can affect your ability to connect
to the Internet, including lack of wireless coverage in your immediate
area, no available channels for wireless connection, the wireless
Internet connection is unavailable and heavy traffic on the Internet.
In any of these situations, wait awhile and try your connection
again.
Error Messages
1010 - Network timeout. There is a problem with the Internet pipeline
and the connection
between your wireless phone and the servers has been lost. Re-connect
to the website and functionality should be restored.
1014 - Internal server error. Please contact the Call Center at
972-263-9497 for further details. 1015 - System timeout. Please
contact the Call Center at 972-263-9497 for further details.
