The DTCU Name Change
For several years, we have been adding services and expanding our membership base into new areas of North Texas. As a result, we reached the point where we felt that the name Dallas Teachers Credit Union was too limiting. We believe the new name better reflects who we are and who our members are.

Membership Status
The name change will have no impact on your membership status. You should notice no difference at all.

DTCU ATM and Credit Cards
You can still use your DTCU ATM and Credit Cards. Your old cards will eventually be replaced with new ones. Until then, you should continue to use your DTCU ATM and credit cards as you always have.

DTCU Employees Management and Board of Directors
The only thing changing is the name. You'll still see the same familiar faces at all levels.

DTCU Checks and Deposit Slips
You can continue to use your DTCU checks and deposit slips. When you run out of checks or deposit slips, your new ones will have the new name and logos.

Automatic Drafts and Direct Deposits
Automatic deposits/drafts are received/sent by using the routing/transit and account number on the MICR line. This will not change, so you will not need to update this information.

Credit Union Ownership
The credit union is not under new ownership. Ownership remains with the membership.

DTCU loans/401K/savings/investment/etc.
The name change will have no impact on any of your accounts at all.

Name Change Cost

The costs to change the name will be off set by the opportunity to greatly expand the number of members who belong to the credit union. As loans and deposits increase from new members, the Credit Union generates more income to pay for the name change, builds more branches, and continues to add new services.

Changes in Services
You will notice no change in service. CUofTX strives to provide the services, products and facilities to conduct your transactions safely, quickly and easily. Count on us to continue offering the latest products and services to enhance your financial well-being.

Benefits of the Name Change
Through membership growth, the credit union will be able to continue building branches and adding services, providing you the convenience and quality you deserve. Growth allows us to do more for you.
