The DTCU Name Change
Our name has changed to reflect the credit union we are today, community-based and serving over 165,000 members. For several years, we have been adding services and expanding our membership base into new areas of the Metroplex. Membership is now open to anyone, regardless of their employer, who lives or works in Dallas, Collin or Rockwall counties, as well as those who live or work in the Lewisville, Red Oak, and Midlothian ISDs. Because we can serve anyone who lives or works in these geographic areas, a name change was required to more accurately reflect the membership that has been developed through community expansion. Stolen Checkbook

Contact your local police department and complete a report at once. Then, visit a branch office or call the Member Service Center at 972-263-9497 during business hours to report the theft. In most instances, you will need to complete affidavits, which must be notarized. Any branch office can process and notarize these for you. We encourage you to close your current checking account and open a new one. If you have direct deposit or automatic debits tied to your checking account, you will need to notify the applicable companies and give them your new checking account number. Please report the theft in a timely manner to protect your account from fraudulent activity.

Canceling Bill Payer

To cancel this service, please call 972-263-9497 or 1-800-314-3828 during business hours and choose option # 3 for teller services.

What needs to be provided for direct deposit to my CUofTX account?
Typically, you will provide your bank routing number, your account number, notate whether the depository account is a checking or savings account, and the institution's name and address. If you list your checking account number, be sure to mark the depository account as a checking account. If you list your savings account number, be sure to mark the depository account as a savings account. See "What is Credit Union of Texas' routing number?" See "What is my account number?"

What needs to be provided for loan and bill payments from my CUofTX account?
Typically, you will provide your bank routing number, your account number, notate whether the withdrawal is coming from a checking or savings account, and possibly the institution's name and address. If you request your payment from your checking account, be sure to list the withdrawal from a checking account type. If you request your payment from your savings account, be sure to list the withdrawal from a savings account type. See "What is Credit Union of Texas' routing number?" See "What is my account number?"

What is my account number?
If you have a checking account, your account number is a 13 digit number listed on the MICR line of your check. If you have a savings account, your account number is the same as your member number. This number could range from 2 to 11 digits depending on when your account was opened.

CUofTX's routing number

Also known as a "routing and transit" or "ABA" number, our routing number is 311079306.  The routing number and ABA are the same for both savings and checking accounts.  If you have a checking account, this routing number is listed on the MICR line of the check and is the first 9 digits listed.

Sample Check

What is the difference between an electronic check and a one time bank draft?
An electronic check is also a one time bank draft, but the information given to a third party for an electronic check will require a specific check number. When an electronic check debits the checking account, it will list the check number assigned to this one time draft on your statement. A one time bank draft will not list a check number. In either case, a copy of the check cannot be produced.
